Viewing Startup messages
I am running Fedora Core 6 and trying to load Swisscenter. I have added a file to configure apache - but there is an error in it.
During startup, the error messages are displayed - but before I have time to read them, the logon screen appears. I presume that there is a way that I can read those messages once Linux has started - or do I have to be quick with a Digital Camera? If it's not the camera - where are the messages held? Thanks for hour help Ian |
Try the following:
Code:
man dmesg |
running either 'dmesg' at the prompt, or viewing/editing /var/log/messages should do the trick. If dmesg runs too fast, you can always 'dmesg | more'
