Viewing program messages when program isn't run from command line?
Is this possible? For instance, I just saw a dialog box pop up from Gaim, while I was typing in another application. But as soon as the dialog box appeared, it took the focus, and as soon as I had hit the space bar (which happened quite soon since I was already typing something in another application) it closed the dialog. Gaim took the spacebar input and used it to "press" the button on the dialog box, closing it before I could see what it was.
So, what I am wondering is, is there a way to view the messages that would have been printed to the terminal window if Gaim had been run from a terminal? Then maybe I could find out what that thing was. |
some apps can be configured to log to files.. not too sure if gaim does this or not, you'd have ot check the preferences.
Anyway, a popup box is unlikely to also create output to the terminal the program was started from. Gaim might, but I would be surprised ;) |
