viewing images in framebuffer
 

Hi,

I´ve been looking around for a way of viewing images from framebuffer (i.e. with no X running). Mplayer of course can use framebuffer to view video and will allow conversion of image files (JPG) to avi, bu that´s quite ineeficient.

Is there any other way. Imagemagick mostly definitely needs to have X running I think, though it´d be cool to haev it running in framebuffer. Any ideas?

Personally I prefer fbi because it uses ImageMagick to convert any image format it cannot read natively...basically means you can view just about anything.
