View X windows as root suse 9.1
Can anyone tell me how to run xwindows in Suse 9.1? Thanks

Sorry, I put it in my post title but skipped over it in the actual post. I meant to ask how do I startx as ROOT.

Let me start off by saying sorry, I have a million things going on here and I should have been more specific in the beginning. With that said, what I am trying to do is logged in as a user, startx then open a shell, su to root run an xapplication like nmapfe. here is what I get when I try this: Xlib: connection to ";0.0" refused by server Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 Key GtkWarning **: cannot open display: :0.0 |
don't use su . use 'sux -' (s.u.x. minus)
