view images in Linux

Are there any similar program to ACDSee to view images in Linux. I was fond of that program.

I'm emerging it right now to check it out. I'll tell you if it's cool after I get done unless you already have it by then.

I use GQVIEW whenever I'm browsing through images [GREAT PROGRAM!]

I also use IMAGEMAGICK which is also very very good to display single / a range of images for example [as I like to make use of the command line]

http://www.imagemagick.org/

you will love them both!

Or, use Kuickshow, I prefer it to GQview.

GQview being mainly for GNOME since it was made using the GTK+ library, is much better in my opinion. Just as I like GNOME much better than bloated KDE.
