View files on Linux and Windows

Is it possible to make Linux Fat32 (Fedora Core 3, speaking) and have Windows 2000 read files from Fedora's / drive and have Fedora read Windows hard drive in FAT32?

Can I do this?

Most likely, yes.

to read (or write) a FAT32 fs in linux, all you have to do is specify the fs when you mount it.
for instance$ mount /dev/hda1 /windows_partition -t vfat
for long-term usefulnes, put it in /etc/fstab.

For reading the linux partition under windows:
you need drivers for the fs, but once they're installed, no problem. However, some of the newer fs'es, particularly reiser (iirc), doesn't have stable windows-drivers yet. However, a google search should point you in the right direction. If you're in doubt about which fs you have, df can tell you.

You could have a 3rd partition using the FAT32 file-system, where either OS can save or load files. You don't want to use FAT32 for Fedora Core however, because the FAT32 file-system doesn't save the permissions needed to run linux.
