Videos in Firefox have sound + video synch problem

Hi there

I'm using firefox to watch videos on YouTube but they are out of synch! The sound and video are out by quite a bit. I've tried using Konqueror as well and this has exactly the same problem.

I have the mplayer plugin on Firefox and I think the xine one too... I don't think it is a codec problem as DVDs play superbly with xine. Mplayer used to play DVDs, but somehow it got mucked up... is this relevant??

Thanks

Youtube uses flash not mplayer or xine. You can download the latest version (flash 9 beta) from the adobe website. It's supposed to have fixed the sync problem.

thanks for that - I'll give it a go!

That worked!! Thanks a lot for your help.

It took a while to download as there seemed to be a problem, but I got there in the end!
