Video settings question

Ati All In Wonder Radeon 32mb 4X Agp card
Samsung Syncmaster 955DF Monitor 19"
Soyo K7V Dragon +
Just installed Mandrake 8.2. Installs successfully > XConfig test > successful > screen goes dark > get an "Out Of Sync Range" box floating on the screen then reboots > boot into KDE okay > get the same message when shutting down.
According to the Monitor info for 800x600 at 60hz the settings should be 37.8khz(H)/60hz(V)both positve polarity.I see all pages of Mode Line info in the XF86Config file.Im found the one I'm looking for.Is there a way to specify just a few settings? If so do I put the info in the XF86Config-4 file?
Maybe this is why I can't get my Ati All In wonder 32mb 4X Agp card working on my other machine which has a Samsung 950P monitor with the same settings.Thank's.

This is my new XF86Config-4 file: I noted the changes I made.Did I put the changes in the right placeand in the right format? (xxxx) denotes changes I made. After I save the file in Midnight Commander I rebooted which DID NOT get me back into a GUI. Should I have typed "startX" before I rebooted? A Linux newbie trying to learn!
