Fedora 24

Having installed an unfinished Fedora distro, how will I know when it moves from the beta stage to a fully functional system? Never done an upgrade before. Thanks for all the advice.

vlc is certainly in rpmfusion and certainly works with F23.

VLC is good. Cross platform also.

I run an update every night in a cron job:

dnf -y update
This updates all the relevant files. You can initiate this command manually on a regular basis if you like - whichever suits. It is a good idea to monitor the Fedora website for an indication that F24 has been released. This is the schedule but at the time of writing it is incorrect. Hopefully the details get fixed soon as I think F24 is due this week

For vlc on F24 (or Rawhide), check out United RPMS
