Video editors in linux

Hi, I'm experimenting with video editors; so far I've tried Kdenlive, Kino, and Avidemux. It looks like I can't get Cinerella from my package manager but will compile it if need be.
I'm wondering which video editor is closest to something professional like Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro?
Also which editor do you prefer for ease of use/features/stability etc.?

Cinelerra at least has a similar layout and workflow.

Here's a Cinelerra tutorial, written by me:

Avidemux (my personal favorite)
Cinelerra
kdenlive
Kino
LiVES
Open Movie Editor
veejay
VirtualDub
Vivia

There's a handful out there. Try a bunch out and find your favorite for what you do. They're all free.

There's also lightworks, now open-source:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...source-809343/

It's probably the most advanced one I've seen. I don't know if it is out yet tho.

Blender also has an NLE built into it.

Here's the first tutorial I found on Google:

Klaatu has talked extensively of Blender in his podcasts. Look at the show notes for season three and search for "blender."

There's additional stuff in season four, but season three had the most extensive information.

the pre built version of Cinerella worked just fine on fedora 11 when i had that installed
but what one ? there are two versions
http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php

http://cinelerra.org/getting_cinelerra.php
this one is in "Freshrpms" JUST make sure that the yum plugin "prioritys" is installed AND CONFIGURED
fresh is mostly not compatible with rpmfusion

If you view the cinelerra.org about page it references heroinewarrior as it's originating page. However, they both point to the sourceforge project for download so it doesn't matter which page you click download from because they're going to the same place.
