video editor and 3d manipulation

Hey there,
I am looking for some software that will allow me to edit videos and make 3d animation such as text that can be blended into a video clip. I looked at cinema 4d but I am looking for free sources first. I would like it to run on windows. I am in haiti right now so very limited internet access, but it is fast. Thanks

well, I am using NERO HD Video editing software to edit the video's.
There are many other you can search on google.

and 3D - Blender .

I have no idea how GOOD they are, but they ARE FOSS, so try 'em out.

Maya is also available for Linux, but it is pay, and expensive, and probably overkill for you anyway.
