Video editing on Linux & PCI Express?

Has anyone tried doing "serious" video editing on Linux? I've had a look at the website for Cinerella and it certainly looks very impressive.

Also, does anyone know if Cinerella and/or Film Gimp will take advantage of the processing power available on PCI Express graphics cards?

Thanks,
Jack
