Video conversion question. PLEASE HELP
I need to convert a few dvd titles (all unencypted stuff, not doing anything illegal) to a format playable by one or more of the three big media players for Winblows--Windows Media Player 9, Quicktime 6, or RealOne. This is for an informational software project I'm working on. It's going to be widely distributed, thus the need for Winblows. I need both audio and video to work, as many of these video clips are documentaries. I've looked all over the mplayer and ffmpeg faqs, but I just can't seem to get this to work well. The best I've been able to do so far is getting MPEG1 video, no audio, working in Quicktime 6 with the lavc codec. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.
