Video CD Software
Do any CD burning programs enable you to make Video CDs with stills or with stills and MPGs mixed. This is important to me as I have a Digital Camera and it is better for me to put my holiday snaps onto VCD and show them on the DVD player.
Don't say Nero with Wine as I cannot get that to work!

I thought a "video-CD" was just a CD with mpegs on it? I didnt know there was anything special about it. Are you sure is? If not, then any program will do it. Have you tried?

Oh, and sorry for the double post but here are two links that may assist you in getting WINE working with Nero, should you so wish:
Nero 5.5.9.0 : http://frankscorner.org/nero_5590.html
Nero 5.5.10.35 : http://frankscorner.org/nero551035.html
I'm sure you will be able to adapt the instructions to make your version work. I haven't actually tried these, but Frank's Corner is a resource I trust and use regulaly.

I only installed wine because I had read that Nero was compatible in Frankscorner, so I did follow the instructions at Frankscorner.
Nero (in Windows anyway) allows you to drag and drop mpg files, including SVCD-compatible mpeg 2s, and jpegs, into the VCD.

I believe that K3B supports burning of VCDs and SVCDs, but you have to ensure your mpegs are compatible before burning - it does not, AFAIK, have mpeg mastering/converting support.

Sorry got "broken link" message.
Using Nero I can do the following:
Mix jpg stills and mpg video on one CD.
I can put svcd mpegs onto a VCD and my DVD player plays them at SVCD res (but if I make a proper SVCD it doesn't).
I have installed the latest Wine and installed the latest Nero following the instructions at Frankscorner. It loads and runs, but won't make audio or video CDs, which rather negates the point.
