video (avi) concat

hi just got a new film , which cam in 2 cd sized avi files.

i have most of the video-edit prgs, but don't know how to use them.

you may have guessed all want is new.avi = cd1.avi+cd2.avi

using ubuntu karmic.

nice and simple pls, at this time of the day

i think you are looking for a tool like avimerge.

I did the hard way,
mencoder infile1.avi infile2.avi -o outfile.avi -ovc copt -oac copy

but as you say avimerge (hides in transcode-utils) would have done it too.

    -f FILE                   read AVI comments from FILE [off]
    -x FILE                   read AVI index from FILE [off] (see aviindex(1))
