vic install getting error

Hi, at the time of installing vic-2.8ucl1.1.5.tar.gz i'm getting the error render/color-true.cpp:36:warning:rcsid defined but not used make: ***[render/color-true.0] Error 1.

Can anyone pls help how to install the vic properly?Thanks

'vic' : The code is 10 years old

No luck with compiling, gcc 2.95 g++ 2.95 or any newer.

The good news : The binary package works ..

+ the required libuclmmbase1
http://packages.debian.org/lenny/i38...base1/download

Unpack the files to empty directories with ' ar -x <package> '
Rename data.tar.gz to <name>.tgz and use # 'installpkg <package>'
.. to see 'vic' work.
