vfat in Suse 9.2 x86_64 (dvd-install)

Recently installed Suse 9.2 x86_64.

Preexisting vfat partitions won't mount (they work fine with other distros).

Tried "modbprobe vfat" and "insmod /paths/vfat.ko" but got failure messages for inserting module.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
