I get extremly slow download speeds and my upload speed is close to 0 when I use Ktorrent. Also, from time to time Ktorrent hangs and the window contents go all white.
The settings are set to unlimited. Bittornado and Qtorrent work fine. I still like Ktorrent's gui. Does anyone know what's wrong with Ktorrent?

I am having the same problems. My OS is the same, and I use the latest ktorrent (1.2). So, I'm bumping this thread up.

That said, I don't think the problem is ktorrent. I think there's something we need to tweek in our system. Because, it is obviously working for somebody...I've heard of speeds on ktorrent as fast as the speeds on the µtorrent I have on my mom and sister's Windows PC.

There also might be something about Debian. Not sure.

So, yeah, a little help would be appreciated if anyone out there knows how to make this work for us.

Maybe. However, on my system downloads work fine with Qtorrent (it's gui sucks, though...)

I see. I've never heard of Qtorrent. I'll check it out.
