Ventrilo and wine, nothing displayed as 'Line'

Slackware 10.1
Enlightenment 0.16.7.1
SB Audigy

I've read everything here on the subject and followed them exactly.
When I start Ventrilo in wine, I can hear everyone, everyone sees my speaker turn green, but no output. Microphone works using arecord and volume is set in alsamixer.

When I go to setup, I select:
Output Device: Sigmatel STAC9721/23
Input Device: SigmaTel STAC 9721/23
Mixer: SigmaTel STAC 9721/23
Mux: rec
Line:

And that's it. There are no options under Line. Anyone have a clue on why this is?

I've switched over for Teamspeak for all my voicechat needs.

Ventrillo runs very poorly under wine (got it to run, but 30 seconds after someone says something I'd hear it -- talking about slow)

I've talked to the developer of ventrilo and he said "quite frankly, linux is a peice of s*it and I don't care to port it over, now if you continue to badger about a linux version you'll be banned"

Why support a product of someone who could give a rats butt to port something over to Linux? I say screw ventrilo, after I had that reply from the developer himself.

He's obviously an egotistical developer who doesn't care about a promising userbase. Teamspeak on the otherhand, has a large amount of Linux users who use it. One of the developers actually uses Linux as a desktop OS himself.

Teamspeak runs great under linux, and I'd suggest it to anyone.

If all your friends are people who aren't willing to switch to talk to you; i'd find a new group of friends.

(All mine switched, so they could talk to me.)

I've spoken to the owner of the server who was more then willing to switch to a competing product. However, he has had terrible experiences with Teamspeak and does not like the lackluster quality of the audio.

So, my friends are more then willing to make the switch, but Teamspeak is not in the same league as far as quality goes. For GNU people, it's a minor issue, but for others, it's enough to continue using an older version of Ventrilo.
