VCD is garbled

I used CDRDAO to create a vcd from the bin/cue files produced by vcdimager.

the bin file plays with no problems with mplayer

But when i write them to a cd and play it, the video is all garbled. the sound has squeaks and pops.

Is it a problem with cdrdao or vcdimager.

I tried my windows program (primo cd) and it was able to produce the vcd with no problem

I want to get linux to be able to write the vcd.

Please help me.
