VB in ubuntu


hello,

i have ubuntu 7.10 installed on my desktop computer and i would like to know if there is a copy of visual basic that i could use i know that visual basic makes .exe (windows software) and yes i still want to make windows software but in linux. i need it for my As-level computing corsework and i carnt no have it everyone else inc. the school uses windows so they have no trubble installing it. is there a copy of visual basic that i can install on ubuntu. and if there is a .deb or a apt-get install (software name) sort of thing can you ether give me the link to the .deb or tell me wht to type for the apt-get.

Personally, I would not use VB in Linux. If I were you, I'd consider making a small partition, installing Windows on it and running only VB on it until you finish your course. No matter what, I highly doubt you will be able to develop VB applications in Linux with the same stability you would in Windows.
