UT2004 troubles...

It installs fine. When I try to run the game it gives me an error in the command line about my sound card as does Knoppix. It is Creative Audigy LS and I am guessing it has no Linux drivers. I did try it in Fedora Core 1 and it was just one big glitch. Thanks for your help ahead of time.

P.S.: I will run the game to get the exact error.

Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
open /dev/[sound/]dsp: No such device
Either GL_EXT_bgra or glDrawRangeElements not supported- bailing out.

That is the exact error did not see the two other lines before.

The first line pertains about your video driver using mesa I believe. Type glxinfo and see what you have:

example:
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 8500 DDR Generic
OpenGL version string: 1.3 (X4.3.0-3.7.6)

The second line, about your sound error. Type "killall artsd" and run esd.

I installed UT2k4 2 days ago, but i just can't get it to run:S i somewhere saw a hint that if you run it from the shell, you'd see the exact error. But it doesn't give any error at all:S It show the splash screen and then drops back out and the only "error" which is given are a couple of white lines! Does any one have an idea what to do?
