Using xine to watch TV

I'm trying to get xine to play a video stream from live TV. The mplayer command I use is:

mplayer -vo xv /dev/video0

xine -V xv /dev/video0

gives me a demuxer error. 'xine-check' finds demux plugins, but how do you specify what plugin to use? What would be the equivalent command for xine?
