Using the iTunes Music store?

I would like to buy songs from ITMS on my Linux install but all the clients I've found are now broken after a protocol change by Apple and most were years old anyway. Is there any way to access and use the ITMS on Linux?

You would have to run iTunes through WINE. My understanding is that it runs pretty well under the latest versions of WINE, at least in terms of managing and playing music. I don't believe syncing with an iPod actually works currently, so you would need to export the tracks out of iTunes to MP3 so you could manage them with Amarok or something similar.

http://tunesviewer.sourceforge.net/ looks promising, and is a small package (which I like - as long as it means nice lean code).

Haven't tried it (I'm still on an Ubuntu 8.10 based system, & I get a weird python dependency error).

Re iTunes in Wine: seems like iTunes 7 & 8 largely work.
