Using symbolick link in SSH

Hi All,
I am using SSH Secure Shell Client for file transfer to ease working.
Since the direcotory i need to find the file is too deep, i use the symbolic link for quick finding. However, I can't simple using it ( i can't find the foloder under the Shell Client". May i ask How can i make use of the symbolic link in the SSh Client file tranfer?

Dear Alice,

What are the permissions of the link you created and of the original folder?

I don't quite know how to use an ssh client, but you might try:

# ls -l name-of-link
# ls -l name-of-original-folder

and respond by pasting the results for us to mull over.

Thanks for your hints, i mistakening created the link by using one account while login with other user account..
