Question Using LINUX-MINT trying to implement Jsyn

A Radio Ham friend have developed JAVA based demodulator program that works with a piece of hardware that converts the 455KHz if of the radio down to 12 KHZ so that the DSP Demodulator DSP program work with a PC's sound card.
AS this was a Java based program I offered to try it out on my AcerONE model ZG5. The DSP DEMOD program loads up as a GUI, and controls seems to work.. But it is not functioning as expected -- Compared to running program under WIN-XP .. It appears that Jsyn is not working? ANYone any ideas please.

My Friend suggested :- Here is how to download the JSyn files. On your computer open a command line prompt and type the following line:

tar zxvf jsyn142a_linux386_sdk.tar.gz

This will download and install the JSyn files from the repository onto your computer. THis was done ...

NOT being an expert need help .MARIO G8ODE

That command will indeed extract the .tar.gz file, assuming that file exists in the directory you run it from. Have you downloaded that file yet? If so, what is the output of the command? You will probably need to compile your application as well after you extract it, but instructions will likely be in the README file. I am not familiar with Mint, but good luck.

JAVAC= javac

JAR= jar

Thank you very much for the reply, unfortunately I had already done this and tested to see if the examples in the "Example" folder work which they all (well the one's I compiled) worked. The problem I am having is with the software my friend is trying to develop as it does not seem to call for the jsyn class he has in his "lib" folder but since I only have a .jar file and not the .java file I don't know where I should go next but from the impression I get it's back to him - especially as the the program doesn't exit in Linux but does in Windows.
