Using Linux as a multiple DVD/CD holder or server?

I will like to make a backup of my game CDs and DVDs and use them instead using the physical CDs/DVDs.

I will "dd" them and mount them as iso9660.
Will it be affected by the cd protection?
Can and how I share them out to my windows pc?
