Using Likewise-open to sync?

Normally when using windows to login to a domain with a user the documents are backed up to the server so that despite what computer you are on your documents are always there in the "my documents folder". I have connected an ubuntu 8.04 box to a windows domain. i can login but the documents etc are not there nor do they get backed up to the server like all the windows boxes do. Can this be done with the ubuntu box? so that it's just like a windows box?

I hope that makes sense

Cheers
