Using javascript inside pdf documents, which software?

I'm going to try developing some interactive pdf with javascript.
I know Adobe has a complete suite for this, but what about open source software?

I read somewhere that Scribus support it, is it true?

Finally, is there a way to make JS working with Xpdf, GS or evince?
I'm non really sure that they cannot actually, but I tried to use a pdf with evince, and it doesn't work, while it does with Acrobat...

I'm using fedora core 5 on amd sempron 3000
