Using gtk1 themes with gtk2 apps?
 

Is it possible to use Gtk1.x themes with gtk2 applications?

I have recently switched to a pretty dark color scheme with enlightenment. I found a matching gtk1 theme so all of my gtk1 apps are nicely matched. Trouble is, there are not nearly as many gtk2 themes out there (last time I checked, at themes.org, 424 gtk1 themes, 33 gtk2 themes). So, the gtk2 themes are really clashing with my style here, because they are so bright. I'd like to use my GTK1 theme with my GTK2 apps. Is that possible? If so, how?
