Using dump.

Does anyone have any issues using dump? I like the virtual shell dump gives you to browse and select your files and extract them. I think I remember reading something about not using dump due to the fact of how it reads and stores your files (from kernel.org mailing list). I figured I would send this question out to the masses and see what everyone has to say about it.

Thanks.
