Using DOSEMU and attempting to use the CDROM
I've just installed DOSEMU (with FreeDOS), and have noticed that the only way I can access any cds I use is by mounting it and assigning a drive letter to that. However, DOS just sees it as a normal directory, and not a CDROM drive, which I need it to.
My question is: How do I set up DOSEMU to actually appear to have a CDROM drive (to tell DOS programmes that the CDROM is in the drive, which is where I'm having problems, programmes load, but ask for a CDROM)? The documentation doesn't seem to have anything on this (and if it does have something it's very, VERY, sketchy). Please, any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you. |
Well that was quick. I found out how to appear to get a cdrom being accepted in DOSEMU.
Now whenever i try to dir the drive I get: Volume in drive D has no label File not found. Anybody have any clues on how to get around this? |
