Using DOSEMU and attempting to use the CDROM

I've just installed DOSEMU (with FreeDOS), and have noticed that the only way I can access any cds I use is by mounting it and assigning a drive letter to that. However, DOS just sees it as a normal directory, and not a CDROM drive, which I need it to.

My question is: How do I set up DOSEMU to actually appear to have a CDROM drive (to tell DOS programmes that the CDROM is in the drive, which is where I'm having problems, programmes load, but ask for a CDROM)?

The documentation doesn't seem to have anything on this (and if it does have something it's very, VERY, sketchy). Please, any and all help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Well that was quick. I found out how to appear to get a cdrom being accepted in DOSEMU.

Now whenever i try to dir the drive I get:
Volume in drive D has no label
File not found.

Anybody have any clues on how to get around this?
