Never thought of that. I have seen some articles where you could use the Dell setup to modify what happened on startup - so (for example) the "media" key boots a Linux partition, while the power button runs the normal MBR and Windoze loader for Vista.
Seeing as I rarely use Vista, I have grub in the MBR, so I never got around to trying it.

I read that they eventually removed the HPA from the laptop as many people faced this problem.
