Using bluetooth over serial with Wine

I have a program that I'm running in wine that needs to use bluetooth. The bluetooth device is one that connects without paring (it uses a passcode). I used Blueman to connect the device. It said that it was connected via serial on comm0. The program only accepts numbers from 2-256. I don't really know what to do. The program says access denied when it tries to connect to a port.

What program? I don't use wine. But my understanding you can right click the .exe in wine and make a shortcut to the desktop in wine and run the program that way.

Sorry, I cannot help on the serial port part. Clueless on that. Might try running Blueman from terminal as sudo to get better permissions also instead of permission denied.

The wine program had the permission issue. I wasn't sure if it was trying to access a restricted comm port. The program runs just fine. It's a program to work with radar speed signs. It connects to the sign via bluetooth.
