using a command


ok i want to save the contents of a folder into a text file

so i do

ls > folderinfo.text

but that only lists

file.whatever



i need it to list in that folderinfo.text the folowing

/home/citrus/file.whatever



and suggestions?

the commands "mv" or "cp"
read the man pages for options........or

You could use "find":
find /path/to/dir -maxdepth 1 > folderinfo.txt
