I'm having the same problem. Videos seem to play fine and I can view pictures well, but music always seems to cut out at some point during playback. Very sporadic, as well.
Any ideas? I've been trying to get uShare and fuppes to stream to my 360 the last couple of days, but fuppes just wouldn't play nice, so I hope that I am able to stick with uShare. Or are there any better alternatives?
I was sharing my entire library at first, but then I tried just sharing about ~150 tracks and it did actually seem to limit the problem (songs would play for longer) but it didn't completely go away.
Should I try to keep it limited to an album or two? I'll try that out later tonight and report back.

I have no bad blood with Microsoft, but I do get a sick satisfaction out of using free software on my Linux box to stream music through my DD-WRT flashed router serving as a wireless bridge to their gaming console.
And I'd appreciate helpful responses to make this happen successfully. Thank you.
Yeah, same here. Very inconsistent and random, though. Sometimes I can get a whole song or two to play through. I might have to give fuppes another shot.
This was just one of the last stepping stones towards completely moving away from Windows, but I might have to keep it around for streaming to Xbox 360. Unless there are other, better alternatives that I'm not finding...
