user problems, have to login as root!!

Hi again everyone. It's me the newbie and my Fedora Core 4 again. So here goes...

I am running an adsl usb modem so everytime I have to connect to the internet I have to type in the br2684ctl command to start my modem. And then I type adsl-start to start the connection. But the problem is, I can't type these commands under normal user. I have to log in as root. So in normal user I can't connect to the internet. Does anyone have the solution to this?
1- How can I get these commands to work as normal user?
2- If I can't does it work to put them on startup, and how is that done?

Thank you...

You should be able to su to root from a console whilst logged in as a normal user, or install + configure sudo to allow a normal user account to run these commands. Alternatively, /etc/rc.d/rc.local lets you to specify your own scripts to be executed at boot.
