User permissions for Xcdroast
I am a user on a Debian 3.0 system and I would like to use the burner to make backups. The only installed burning software is xcdroast. When I was starting it, I was receiving the warning splash screen:
"Access Denied!
You have no permission to start X-CD-Roast on that host.
Ask the superuser to add you to the allow-list."
Which I did. He added me to the cdrom group, which should, in principle, allow me to access the burner with xcdroast. After logging out and in again, however, I can see that I am added to the cdrom group, but xcdroast still keeps me out from using itself. Anybody has any idea how to fix that? Does it requires an intervention from me or from the sys admin?
Thanks in advance for your help!
