User Based Subdomains

Alright, I'm running HTTPD on my FC3 box, and I want to figure out a way to do a user based subdomin - very similar to the sub-directory version that I already have in place, using the mod built into httpd. Basically, I want http://logans.cottsay.net/ to go to the same place as http://cottsay.net/~logans/, which is /home/logans/.cn/html. I have been trying all sorts of things without any result.

Thanks for anything you can give me,

Scott K Logan
