User account problem (why incorrect password? -- but it is right!!!)

I am trying to install IBM WebSphere Commerce product, which needs a database in the backend - IBM DB2. So I install the components seperately, in the DB2 installation, I have created users as dasusr1 (grp dasadm1) as database admin, db2inst1 (grp db2grp1) as instance owner, as well as db2fenc1 (grp db2fgrp1). Installation is fine, HTTP server and App Server installation is also fine.

here come the problem
Now I am installing WebSphere Commerce, before installation it prompts for database user id and passwd, which "the linux ID must be database administrator".

so I entered dasusr1 with the pasword, it say incorrect password!!! WTF? Now I go back to the user's manager and change the password, so I am SURE i got the right password, go back to the installation wizard, it still say incorrect password... omg.. it is sooo frustrating... whats wrong? I also try the username db2inst1 and db2fenc1, it wont take it.

P.S. Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1

HELP!
