Usenet with Mozilla
I would like to get into a usenet group, so I can stay updated on the topics that interest me. The problem is, I have no idea how to do this. I found a group on google groups called comp.os.linux.security. how can I add this into mozilla mail so that it will check for new messages and let me respond?

In Mozilla Mail, click Edit, then Mail And Newsgroup Account Settings, then Add New account, then select Newsgroup Account and fill in the blanks.
|
I have tried doing that, but then when I click on 'Manage Newsgroup Subscriptions' it says "Unable to connect to comp.os.linux.security". What name should I call it?
|
According to this page, you can't. They are Google groups and are written to be viewed via Google.
|
You have to enter news server thru which you will collect messages from newsgroups.
Search on google for public news server unless your ISP doesn't have one. |
Ok, I understand now. I did find a group listing, and subscribed sucessfully. Thank you for your help.
