use vi to convert linux format to windows format

There is a text file in linux format, in vi, how to convert it into windows format.

If you use vim:
In command mode type: set ff=dos or from dos to linux: set ff=unix

If you use vi:
%s/$/\<ctrl-v>return/
The last part is a backslash followed by ctrl-v then the return key
