Use Pine with Moziilla?

Is it possible to make Mozilla use Pine as the email client when clicking on "mailto" protocol? I don't have the Mozilla email client installed, Pine has always worked for me just fine, it does attachments, images, everything I want to see. When I click on an email with Mozilla it says "protocol not registered". I'd like to be able to use Pine with that instead of opening it and physically typing in the email address.

Okay, I found a site that explains how to do this, there are two ways to do it, one using a Mozilla extension and another that requires a fairly recent version of Mozilla.
I used the hard way, since I wanted to learn more about configuring Mozilla.
