Use multiple audio devices simultaneously

Mandriva 2009.1 / GNOME 2.26 / PulseAudio

My computer has three alternative audio sources - internal (aka HDA Nvidia), a SB Live! card, and a Logitech QuickCam (aka USB Device 0x46d:0x9a4).

Unsurprisingly, the SB Live! is my default audio source.

However, I've recently signed up to Skype and would like to use a headset plugged into the front microphone/headphone ports (internal HDA Audio) for that purpose (to avoid either feedback resulting from speakers feeding into microphone, or having to fiddle around behind the computer to unplug the speakers and plug in the headset). Is this possible? It doesn't help when Skype seems to recognise multiple selectable 'devices' for each physical device:

HDA NVidia (hw:NVidia,0)
HDA NVidia (plughw:NVidia,0)
HDA NVidia (hw:NVidia,1)
HDA NVidia (plughw:NVidia,1)
USB Device 0x46d:0x9a4 (hw:U0x46d0x9a4,0)
USB Device 0x46d:0x9a4 (plughw:U0x46d0x9a4,0)
hdmi
pulse

SB Live! Platinum [CT4760P](plughw:Live,1)

I hate pulse and have no idea if this is still compatible when this thing is enabled, but if 3 /dev/dsp devices are created, just map one for skype.
