USB stick integrity check?

I have a few USB sticks still under warranty. Some start to behave erratically. I would like to check them, whether (and how many) bad sectors are on the USB flash stick, what the current real usable space is, etc with a view of of deciding to send them for warranty or not.
Plenty tools for windows, which tools for linux?

Why not the usual disk tools? Notably fsck, which loads the appropriate one of fsck.ntfs, fsck.vfat, etc.
