Hi,
Check your boot settings.
and press F12 when the booting is going on.
boot conditions will be like
1:-optical disk
2:-usd drive
3:-internal hard drive

Thanks

Print your /etc/fstab and post it here. You should find a line similar to this:

usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0

Question Same problem...

Just installed openSuse 10.2 and it appears that it just skipped the USB drivers altogether. I tried reinstalling libusb and rebooting. When I go to add my USB printer, it says that the USB bus is not properly configured. Here's my fstab (no usb listed):

/dev/hdc6 / ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hdc7 /home ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 2
/dev/hdc2 /windows/C vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002,utf8=true 0 0
/dev/hdc3 /windows/D vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002,utf8=true 0 0
/dev/hdc4 /windows/E ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=utf8 0 0
/dev/hdc5 swap swap defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
debugfs /sys/kernel/debug debugfs noauto 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0

I'm a newb, so hopefully this is just some simple problem that I'm overlooking.

Thanks!
