USB headphones & xmms

Hi everybody. My first post here. Well, I've this problem: I bought this headphones today "Euro Case Euhp 07" (I can't post the URL). These headphones have a USB connector; so I pluged them and they started to work (nice surprise, I thought I was going to configure a lot). Well, the problem is that they sound at max all the time. I run alsamixer in a console, and I set the volume at 4 (4 out of 100) and its the only way I can put the headphones near my ears. If I set it to 7 its just imposible to keep them near. I've been reading lots of theads here, but nobody has my problem (I didn't find any). If I use XMMS, when I modify the volume bar, nothing happens. NO AUTUN & RHYTHBOX let me modify the volume, and they work great. How can I configure XMMS for this??

Thanks for your help, and I'm sorry if my english is not that good.

Bye!

You could try changing the mixer device in the XMMS output plugin settings.

Thanks

You were right. I changed a few thing where you said to, and now I can control the sound volume.

I also used this thread as guide "questions/showthread.php?t=376920" (I repeat, I can't post URL, so add linuxquestions )

If someone use this some day, remember to choose the option wich says "software volume control".

Thanks and bye!
