USB gets turned off.

I have a Suse 10.0 installation with a Wifi connection to broadband via a Linksys WUSB54G USB adapter. After booting, everything is fine but it seems to me that if I don't use the internet for a while, something switches the USB power off. The little light on the Linksys goes out and my USB memory stick gets no power if I plug it in. Kinternet is still running but I can't see how to turn the USB back on. I'm not clear if it is just timing out or if some other software is doing it. Any help appreciated.

Hello and thanks for your suggestion. After I had written my original posting, I found that somebody with a similar (but not the same) problem had been advised to turn off APIC support in BIOS. I did this too and so far have not had a USB switch-off. I will however note your suggestion just in case! Regards. Petermcp.

No prob. I'll keep the ACPI interfernace possibility in mind as well (that makes more sense, come to think of it).
