USB Flash stick boot

I have a ISO 9660 image I build that allows me to install many different Linux distributions over a network. These are mostly KickStart images. Because so many systems no longer have CDs installed I want to move this image to a USB flash stick. I tried syslinux but I could not get around the short file name and path limitiations. The image is only 100 megs so size should not be a problem. I wanted to use grub but I can't figure out how to do it.
