usb flash drive permission denied
 
hello all,

im currently running suse 11.0 and when i plug in my usb flash drive i get a permission denied error. i noticed that the permissions tab is not available when im loged in as normal and as root. i took my drive and plugged it into my other suse 11.0 laptop and it works fine and the permissions tab is there too. how would i get my permissions tab back? any help well be very greatful thank you.

Did u try chmod [file-name] 777 command from the root terminal with respect to the usb-flash drive ?

havent tried that. i think suse decided to crash on me and now it wont load properly at all. oh well suse 11.2 is coming out shortly i was able to boot off of knoppix and it sees my usb flash drive so im able to copy the data for now no problem thanks for your help
